Erewash Kestrel 2017

Erewash Valley Golf Club hosted their flagship Kestrel  event on Sunday 10th September 2017. A full field of competitive golfers from across the East Midlands played out an individual medal qualifying competition for men and women over 18 holes which also featured the “Quarry Challenge”. 

The main prize of the best gross score and presentation of the Kestrel Trophy was won once again by the present champion Will Painter from Kedleston Park Golf Club with a Gross score of 72.

Gross score winners:
1st - Will Painter, (Kedleston) - 72
2nd - Thomas Hamson, (Hollinwell) - 72
3rd - John Taylor, (Wollaton) - 74
4th - William Davidson, (Breadsall) - 74
5th - Mitchell Newton, (Hollinwell) - 75

The quarry challenge (score 4 or less on the two quarry holes) was won by Jack Marron from Breadsall Priory with two birdies winning a prize worth £250.00.

William Wood came 1st from Bulwell Forest Golf Club for the best Nett Score of 69.

The weather stayed kind to us as the rain held off and a fantastic day was had by all, the vibe around the Club and on the course was amazing. 

Erewash Valley Golf Club look forward to holding next year’s Kestrel which will be held on Sunday 9th September 2018.

18 holes open on all main greens. Trolleys permitted with dispensation only. No ride on buggies. Tee reserve times... Ladies Competition 09.00-10.50 & Members roll-up 11.00-12.00. Please be aware the ground is still very slippery in places, take extra care when negotiating the course.
